Terms of Sale
Last updated 21 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy a software license from CrystalKarat through this website. Please read them before you buy. Using the software is also governed by the End User License Agreement, and how we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
1. What you are buying
You are buying a license to use a CrystalKarat plugin, not the software itself. Each license is perpetual and can be active on one computer at a time. The product page describes the features and system requirements; please check them before you buy.
A free trial is not a purchase. It needs no payment details, nothing is charged when it ends, and the EULA sets out how long it lasts and what it allows.
2. Your account
You need a CrystalKarat account to buy. Your license keys, activations, installers and receipts are kept there. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure.
3. Price and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. The total shown at checkout is the amount you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. If your bank charges for currency conversion, that charge is between you and your bank.
4. Delivery
Delivery is digital and immediate. Once payment is confirmed your license key is shown on screen, emailed to you and saved in your account, and the installers become available to download from your account. Some payment methods take longer to confirm; the license is issued when they do.
5. Your right to cancel
When you buy digital content online you would normally have 14 days to cancel. At checkout you ask us to supply the license immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once supply has begun. Supply begins when your license key is issued, so from that moment the 14-day cancellation right no longer applies, as permitted by regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
6. If something is wrong
This does not affect your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you are entitled to a repair or a replacement, and if that is not possible or does not fix the problem, to a price reduction or a refund. Write to support@crystalkarat.com and we will put it right.
If a payment is refunded or reversed, the license it bought is suspended.
7. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss of business or profits, or for loss of data, so please keep backups of your projects. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If defective digital content we supply damages a device or other digital content of yours and this is caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or compensate you.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one shown on this page when you bought.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may bring proceedings in your local courts. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
