End User License Agreement

This agreement is between you and CrystalKarat and covers your use of CrystalKarat software, including Forge ("the Software"). By installing or activating the Software you agree to it.

1. Your license

When you buy a license we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive right to install and use the Software, for personal or commercial work, on one computer at a time. You may move a license to another computer by deactivating it on the first, either in the Software or from your CrystalKarat account.

A free trial gives you the same rights for a limited time: 7 days for Forge, counted from when you start the trial. When it ends the Software stops producing sound until you activate a purchased license. Each product allows one trial per account and one per computer.

2. What you make is yours

You own the audio you create or process with the Software. There are no royalties and no restrictions on how you use, release or sell it.

3. What you may not do

• Share, sell, rent, lend or publish your license key or the Software.
• Remove, bypass or interfere with the Software's activation or license checks.
• Decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the Software, except where the law expressly allows it regardless of this agreement.
• Use the Software in a way that breaks the law.

4. Activation

The Software is activated online once per computer. Activation registers an identifier for the computer, derived from its hardware, with our licensing provider. After that the Software checks a signed activation file stored on your computer and works offline. It renews the activation in the background when online, and needs to reach the licensing server at least once every 30 days. Without a valid activation the Software stops producing sound 30 seconds after it starts and does not save its settings.

5. Ownership

The Software and its code, design and documentation belong to CrystalKarat and are licensed, not sold. Third-party components are used under their own licenses, which are included with the Software.

6. Updates

We may publish updates. Your account always offers the newest installer for your platform. Nothing in this agreement obliges us to provide updates or support, but your statutory rights under the Terms of Sale remain.

7. Ending the agreement

You may stop using the Software at any time. We may end your license if you seriously break this agreement, or if the payment for it is refunded or reversed. When the agreement ends you must uninstall the Software.

8. Liability

Your rights as a consumer, and our liability, are as set out in our Terms of Sale. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Law

This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales.
